Your next destination depends on which version of the building you are in. Tenebris Somnia sends you between the second- and third-floor apartments, then back through familiar rooms after their contents change. The route below follows the main progression from Ivan’s apartment to Septimo Arte, with the items that tell you when to move on.
Story, boss and late-game spoilers follow. This is a main-route walkthrough, not an every-item checklist or a guide to every optional ending. The puzzle page handles individual combinations and switch sequences; here, you get the order of destinations and the handoffs between them.

Opening: work between the two apartments
Start by opening the study in Ivan’s apartment. The bathroom, kitchen and bedroom supply the tools and ingredients for the door mixture. Finish its sunlight step at the bedroom window before using it on the study door.
The next apartment objective crosses floors. You collect the remote’s batteries in the second-floor apartment but install them in the third-floor office. Return downstairs to complete the TV-symbol sequence. If you are standing beside a powered remote with nowhere obvious to go, the second-floor television is your next stop in Tenebris Somnia.
After meeting Sanguis, collect the blue Triangular Stone from the candle arena. Before leaving the apartment, take the Scissor Blade from the kitchen and X-Ray from the small bookshelf. Those items let you retrieve the A.S. Key beyond the second-floor blue symbol door.
Follow that route into the director’s office. Finish the poster sequence, open the adjacent bathroom and collect the Mop Handle. Your next destination is back through the second-floor bedroom window to the candle arena, not farther along the office hallway.

Obscuratus, the bar and the first film
Use the handle at the arena’s wall fitting to advance into the Obscuratus encounter. When he is invisible, interact with the lit candles around the arena to extinguish them and reveal him. Repeat that reveal-and-attack cycle when he disappears again.
Afterward, take the third-floor symbol-door route to the bar. Its bell-and-pitcher puzzle supplies the USB Cable. The cable is only half of the phone charger, so the next leg of this Tenebris Somnia walkthrough takes you to the first-floor dining-room staircase for the adapter.
With the charger assembled, return to the third-floor office and charge Ivan’s phone. Use the resulting code at the first-floor projector-room entrance. This backtrack connects the bar reward to the film progression; the USB Cable does not plug directly into the projector.
Collect the first Devora Film Canister from the second-floor office chest and play it upstairs in the projector room. Then go down to the theater and take the Plate with X from the opened box. The projector and theater are separate stops: watching the film opens the reward, but you still have to collect it.
Complete the dinner-table puzzle, collect the Green Square Stone and return to the third-floor apartment’s green symbol door. Take the White Candle inside before continuing. At this point in Tenebris Somnia, the route has moved beyond the apartment’s opening locks and into the school’s connected puzzle rooms.

Film school: finish the camera before using the elevator
The cinematography class needs the RCA Cable from the electrical puzzle room. If the camera sequence will not advance, complete the electrical room and bring that cable downstairs first. The camera then leads through the outline, glass, seed and flower sequence to the Copper Key.
Use the Copper Key to enter the dark TV room. Switch on its televisions, collect the Black Candle and keep the color pattern recorded in the Old Book. Light the candle before taking it to the elevator.
The elevator’s destination sequence comes from those colors, not a universal code. Use the lit candle inside and follow your recorded floors until -1 becomes available. Tenebris Somnia’s corruption effect is your progress cue during this sequence.
At floor -1, navigate the corridors and obstacles to Ivan’s childhood room. Collect the second Film Canister beside his statue, then retrace your route to the elevator. Once you are back upstairs, return to the projector rather than searching the basement for a second exit.
Play the canister, collect the Cow Skull from the theater box and carry it to the white door reached through the dining-room staircase’s first doorway. The important handoff is basement canister → projector → theater reward → skull door. That chain gets you out of another common Tenebris Somnia backtracking loop.
Fumus to the finished photograph
Defeat Fumus and collect the Red Pentacle Stone. This item opens the hotel-room route and the third-floor bathroom, both of which you need for the next film canister and photograph.
The cursed canister in the film school initially teleports you away. Interact with it, return and try again; after the second teleport, speak to Sanguis in the studio lobby. Exhaust his SPELL dialogue to obtain the Silver Key, then open the second-floor bathroom cabinet for the Silver Bottle.
Collect water from three save points and take the filled bottle to the moonlit hotel window. Use the Red Pentacle Stone to open the third-floor bathroom as well, and collect its Chemicals. Purify the water at the window, then return to the cursed canister to cleanse it and obtain the third film.
Back at the projector, play that canister or the complete film. Collect the Cold Chisel from the final theater box and the Photo Roll from the lobby. The chisel opens the boarded door at the top of the dining-room staircase; beyond it is the room needed to turn the darkroom bulb red.
Finish developing the photograph at the school, then take it to the picture-frame table in the third-floor bedroom. Collect the Hexagonal Stone from the drawer it opens. Your next destination in Tenebris Somnia is the second-floor film-school symbol door, where you also speak to Sanguis before moving on.
Vitria and Sanguis: the route into Desiderium
Continue through the Vitria encounter and the film-set sequence. The next major route milestone is the later Sanguis battle, before your return to the school in Desiderium.
The later Sanguis beast encounter ends at the giant knife. Lure him over it so that the blade impales him. This is an environmental finish, not a fight you resolve by standing at a safe distance and spending more ammunition.
After that sequence, the route returns to the film school in Desiderium. Familiar rooms now form a different item chain: collect the Blue RCA Cable, use the Black Lightbulb to invert its color, then return the yellow cable to the camera. Complete the electrical-room return, cleanse the Apartment Key and collect the Red Candle.
Use the lit Red Candle at the stairwell’s red symbol. That opens the next leg of the Tenebris Somnia route, leading toward the fly rooms rather than the earlier elevator ritual.
Fly rooms, upper apartments and Aurifer
Complete the fly-floor sequence using the pattern in your own preceding room. Take the Lead Fly from the theater and use it at the fly-marked door. Continue through the fights beyond it, then use the Tin Key both for the exit and for the theater’s central box.
The box contains the Green Candle. Light it and use it at the green stairwell symbol to reopen access to the upper apartments. Do not go hunting for a replacement elevator code; the candle is the progression item here.
The upper-apartment chain connects the bathroom faucet, Ivan statue, Glass Box, Photographs, Glass Vase and poem wall. Finish those puzzles, use the kitchen oven to obtain the Circular Plate and open the second-floor office chest for the VHS Tape. Play the tape upstairs, collect both figures and complete the hollow-statue sequence to make the mixture for Ivan’s statue.
That gives you the Lapis Fictus Knife. Transform it at the kitchen fusebox, descend the elevator shaft and take it to the mercury puddle. Retrieve the Lead Key before leaving the rooms below, then return to the second-floor studio lobby.
Use the key to enter the northbound series of doors. At the locked hotel door, use the Virdis Knife to finish the Aurifer sequence. You have now completed the knife-forging portion of Tenebris Somnia; the next route goes outward toward the final building.
Exit to Septimo Arte
Decide on your Relicta branch before attacking with Aurifer. Killing ghosts takes you toward a different ending; leaving them alive preserves the no-kill route. Make a save before that decision if you want to return for the alternative.
Return through the studio lobby to the apartment building, climb to the third floor and take the street exit. You are leaving the apartment route now, rather than repeating the elevator or school puzzles.
On the street, head to Septimo Arte. Entering that building takes you into the final area. This Tenebris Somnia walkthrough stops at that arrival: optional ending requirements and the final boss branches are separate from the main progression route above.
